About Curry Hut

Located at 2810 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA 30909, Curry Hut operates as an indian restaurant serving Augusta in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Augusta, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Georgia run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 am–9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (706) 922-4616. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 1,339 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded indian restaurants in Augusta.

Augusta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Augusta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I had never tried Indian food before, and we found this place by chance while passing through Augusta. It turned out to be absolutely delicious. I ordered the Lamb Madras with the spicy option, while my companion ordered the Vindaloo. The Vindaloo is very spicy, but it’s the kind of heat that’s incredibly flavorful rather than overwhelming. We both enjoy spicy food, but if you have a low tolerance for spicy, I’d recommend thinking twice before ordering the Vindaloo. That said, the server will also warn you about the spice level in advance. The service was outstandingβ€”our server was attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout the meal. I would 100% recommend this restaurant, and if I ever have the chance to visit Augusta again, I’ll definitely come back to eat here.

We had a top-notch experience dining here! The food was genuinely authentic and tasted absolutely amazing. Indian cuisine can sometimes be hit-or-miss for children, but our kids completely loved everything we ordered, which is a huge win for family dinner night.A few things to note for future diners: the indoor dining area has fairly limited seating, so it feels very intimate and can fill up quickly. They also have a smaller selection of adult beverages, but the quality of the meal more than makes up for it. The service was fantastic, the flavors were spot on, and the overall experience was excellent. We will definitely be back!

We had two amazing dishes: veg jalfrezi and chicken Hyderabadi. The dessert was ras malai, which was okay. One tip: the spicy level they use is actually Indian spicy. I like spicy, but I ordered medium and thought it was just right. The staff was very good and friendly just ask 😊anything.

The Lamb Vidahlo was very nice. The mild is still spicy, yet packed with flavor. We each spooned the main dish over the Jasmine rice that accompanied it and added some yogurt to cook it down some. In addition we had a couple appetizers, both were delicious. The waiter had us seated and drink orders taken quickly. The atmosphere is a little dark. Otherwise things were great. Please stop in and give them a try. I hope to go back sometime soon.

This was a fun experience! I love trying new things. But for starters it was a little warm in the restaurant and the flies were hideous ( in and on the window) we asked to be moved. The gentleman explained whatever it was that we were ordering to ensure we had an understanding what we were ordering also suggesting recommendations. Everything I ordered was fantastic! ( I’d done my research).
